THE INTERVIEW

How long have you been writing?
Since I was six years old, so MANY years. J

What or who inspires you to write?
Writing is part of me, like breathing. I constantly think about my stories and writing and all I want to do is write.

What genre do you like to read?
Several which include rom com, time travel, horror, psychological thrillers, chick flicks, contemporary romance (in mf and mm and even mfm and mmf).

What is your favorite genre to write?
Contemporary romance. I like to think romance can and will happen right here, right now, in its many forms.

Who is your favorite author and why?
Stephen King. I love his characterization and descriptions. I also like the way his mind works.

What do you love about writing and why?
I love to create characters and romance. I’m in charge of my own universe.

What is the book about?
Forty-four year old Julie Weston has loved Timmy and James since her college days twenty something years ago. She's fantasized about both all these long years, never able to choose between them.

Hoping Tim and James will attend, she attends their college marching band reunion. When both men show up her dreams are answered. They're sexier than she imagined and she hopes they won't be disappointed by her older self.

It turns out both men came just to see her again and neither is happy about the other’s presence. They fight over her, confusing her more than ever. It takes a hot ménage…or two…for her heart to decide which one she’s in love with.

What or who was the inspiration for the book?
Dreams, daydreams, and fantasies.

Who are the characters in the book?
Julie is an ex-FBI agent, now sheriff of a small town in Indiana. She’s burnt out on law-enforcement since she shot a teenager who turned out to be innocent. She’s trying to start a new career publishing coffee table books. When her college marching band reunion comes up she escapes her intense life to attend, hoping the two men she loved in college—her ex boyfriend and her best friend—will attend as well.

Timmy was Julie’s college boyfriend but he screwed things up with her when he returned to his ex-girlfriend back home. He’s often regretted this move and wondered how his life would have turned out with Julie. He’s quite successful in his business life and has opened a chain of steak houses on the west coast. He also likes to fly planes.
James was Julie’s best friend in college. He’s always wondered if he should have asked Julie out on a date and regrets that he didn’t do so. He’s now a widower and a pediatrician who’s into karate and Ren Faires.

If you could have five authors, over for dinner, alive or dead, who would they be and why?

Stephen King, Stephen White, Sherryl Woods, Tina Wainscott, and Jane Austen

Their books fascinate and/or enchant me.

I absolutely love “The Stand” by Stephen King and “Pride & Prejudice” by Jane Austen. I’ve read these two books several times and I’ve also watched the movies over and over.

I always fall in love with Sherryl Woods heroes.

Stephen White’s psychological thrillers fascinate me—I can’t get enough.

Tina Wainscott is my newest favorite. I recently read her book “I’ll Be Watching You” and I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to reading more of her books.

EXCERPT
A shadow fell across Julie, waking her up from her nap and a husky voice washed over her. “You’re going to be sorry falling asleep out here. This sun is brutal.” Groggy, she shaded her eyes and looked up at the shadowy figure in awe. “Timmy, is that you? You’re early.” He leaned down, his body still sinewy and strong, and held out his hand to her. Nary a wrinkle marred his matured face. Only a few laugh lines fanned out from his eyes which added to his attractiveness. “You, too. Is that a sign?” She couldn’t help but chuckle. Since when did Tim believe in signs? “A sign?” “That you want to see me, be with me in private, as I want to see you and be with you in private.” She swallowed hard and put her hand in his, her heart somersaulting when they touched for the first time in more than thirty years. A maelstrom of emotion washed over her and she didn’t want to mess up what was probably her last chance to be with him, so she wasn’t about to play coy. Slowly, seductively, she licked her lips. “You read my mind.” As he helped her up his gaze smoldered into her eyes. He dragged her against him and his hard cock rubbed against her. He nipped her ear, then whispered huskily, “Your nipples are puckering against your suit. I’d call that a sign.” Standing on her tip toes, she replied hoarsely, “Your very hard, very hot cock is pressing into my stomach. That’s another sign.” He pressed his lips to hers, not plundering but light enough he was able to speak against them, “Then we should do something about all these signs.”
