Challenge Story is Finished and Sent!

So, did the final read through last night, and sent it off to Zoe for the Writer's Challenge!  I posted her badge on the blog, which looks amazing!!!

I'm very proud of myself that I was able to finish this!  My big worry was if I would be able to push myself to do it, and I'm so happy that I did.  There were things that had to be let go around my house, but I was finishing this story hell or high water!  Nothing was going to stop me from writing it!

What I love about the story I wrote was that I have now found my next book!  I don't really know where it's going to go for now, but I know I'm going write it.  I love where it was going for the challenge, and I'm dying to see where it's going to go once it's a book!!

As a way to congratulate myself, I went and got my nails done this morning!  I got a set of nails on, and got myself a pedicure!  My feet were thanking me once I walked out, and I even got some cream for them, as they are really dry.  I haven't had one in two years.... I know I know... my feet deserve better then that!  It's hard to focus on myself with two boys who need everything!

Now, I'm going to start focusing on my current book, and Jill and Bryan!  Right now... it's time for bed for me.  I'm hearing thunder right now, so I'm hoping the boys don't wake up.  If so, it's going to be a long night....

I'm finally done!!!

Well, short of doing some editing to it, my writing challenge is done!!  I am so proud of myself, as I was convinced I would not be done it by now!!  I finished it last night, and am going to work on it tomorrow during the day and tomorrow night.

Also, this is going to be my next book!  Shortly after I started writing it, I made the decision to make a book series out of it.  I love the way it's going, and am already loving the way the story is talking to me.  I can not wait until I can delve deeper into it and the characters.

Now that I'm done, I can focus on my current book that I'm working on.  From the way my two characters were talking to me last night, they've missed me.  I didn't get to sleep until almost midnight because they would not leave me alone.  Them, and my two characters from my next book.  It was crazy in my head last night!! There are days I would like my head to be quiet, but I'm convinced will never happen!

Now... if only I could think if a title for my story....

Review of Passion by Lauren Kate

Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . .

Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.

Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever.

Sweeping across centuries, PASSION is the third novel in the unforgettably epic FALLEN series.

This, I think was my favorite one of the series so far!!  This book, you are travelling with both Luce and Daniel through time.  You get to experience their love from both of their POV's, back to the beginning.  I loved seeing Luce discover why their love was the way it was, and what things happen when they do.  My favorite time period was 18th Century England, but that's always been my favorite time period.  I love her character, I love what she does to get back to Daniel.  I just loved it!

You also follow Daniel who is chasing her, and can't seem to get to the same place at the same time.  He's always just a little too late to get to her.  You feel his frustration at having just missed her, and communicating with the previous Daniel when he feels so desolate at losing her to fire yet again.

One thing that threw me totally was the character Bill.  I loved him!  Then I find out, he's not really the good guy he's perceived to be!  I won't ruin it for you guys, you have to read the book to find out who he really is!!

Through out time, Luce tries to reason with Daniel, find out why this is happening.  She even joins with her previous selves to find out how to stop it.  There was one version of Luce that I didn't like.  One that just so against who Luce was, that it surprising to see her that way.

This book's ending was a little bit anticlimactic, as it's taking you into the fourth book, but it explains why there is a curse on Daniel and Luce, and who was responsible for it.  My favorite saying in the book is that Luce and Daniel's souls will always find each other.  I thought that was such a beautiful line, just because to have a love that strong is enviable.  I would love to have a love like that...

I think that's the romantic in me talking though... I really am a hopeless romantic.

Happy 4th Birthday Dylan!!

Happy Birthday to my little man Dylan.  He is four today, in fact he will be four at around 3:30pm.  He's growing so fast, and I do miss the days when I would be up watching Zumba ads at two on the morning with him sleeping on my chest.  Makes me want to keep him like that forever.

I know that I can't; I know that he, along with his older brother, are going to grow up into men.  One thing will never change though... he will always be my baby.  Even when he's 80, he will always be my baby boy.

Dylan a few hours old after he was born.

His monster costume last year!  He looked so damned cute!!!!

Review of Torment by Lauren Kate

Hell on earth.

That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel.
It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts—immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn’t told her everything. He’s hiding something—something dangerous.

What if Daniel’s version of the past isn’t actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

The second novel in the addictive FALLEN series . . . where love never dies.

Another great cover, and another great book!  This is the second book, and I loved it.  I read it in about four days, since I could not put it down!

In this book, Luce finds herself at a new school.  Daniel has put her there for her protection, but doesn't get into why she needs the protection or from whom.  Since she's not able to see Daniel while she's at Shoreline, she's miserable for the first little while.  She makes quick friends with Miles, and her rough-around-the-edges roommate Shelby.

While at the school, Luce learns how to make the Announcers into windows of her previous lives.  Even though it is forbidden to do it, she goes into one anyway.  She's determined to find out the reason behind her and Daniel's relationship.  She's still filled with doubt about his love at times, and gets annoyed when he's evasive answering her questions about their relationship.  So much so, it starts pushing her into the arms of someone else... temporarily.

When the thought of missing Thanksgiving, Luce falls into despair.  She misses her parents, her friends, and hates lying to everyone she loves.  She's surprised to find out that her two teachers, and a few friends made her able to enjoy the holiday in the end.  I found Miles a little bit annoying, as he was attracted to Luce and didn't like her with Daniel.  Reminded me a little bit of Jacob from Twilight.

What I loved about Thanksgiving, as it was a total surprise to her, as she wasn't expecting to see any of them.  There is a reason they are all there, and once she realizes why, she's terrified.  I love how the fallen angels band together to protect her, stopping at nothing.  After the battle, Luce makes a decision out of desperation, that is the beginning of the second book.  She wants to know more about her love with Daniel, and goes seeking for answers.

I'm Still Here...

It's me!  Just wanted to post that I'm still here.  I haven't left!

I've been pretty busy.  Between dealing with both of the boys being sick, my HB being sick, and ME being sick... twice.. with the same headcold, it's hard to focus enough to post anything.  I'm coming down with ANOTHER cold, that I thought was allergies, but it's not.

I have been writing, which I'm thankful for!  I'm working on the changes still, and working them into the storyline slowly.  There's so much that I've written, it's going to be interesting to see how this twist affects everything and everyone!  Plus, I'm still working on my Writer's Challenge, and I love where that's going.  In fact, I love it so much, that I've already chosen this genre as my next book!  Hard to think about doing a second one, when the first one isn't close to being done, but I am!!

Plus, I'm reading Passion by Lauren Kate, for my book club with my cousin.  There is only two of us in it right now, but that's enough for me!  We love this series, and can not wait until Rapture comes out NEXT WEEK!!!!  Sooo happy!!!

Other then my normal routine, that's pretty much what's going on.  Nothing outstanding, but I'm still here.  I love the way my book is coming along, and I love the way my writer's challenge is coming along, plus reading... I'm happy!!

Nick is looking into buying a cabin, so that's just another place for me to sit, write and relax.  I love the idea of going out to the country, where no one can reach us, and sit and relax.  If I can read or write, I'll be happy!  It doesn't take much...
